Meet Dr Caldemeyer
Hello! and welcome to Varboncoeur & Caldemeyer Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery's website, at the Grossmont Oral & Maxillofacial / Facial Plastic Surgery Center. My name is Dr. Cortland S. Caldemeyer, and I would be very privileged to have the opportunity to take care of you. I would like to introduce myself. I am 40 years old, have been licensed to practice dentistry since 1997, and licensed to limit my practice to specialize in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2001. I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana. I attended Muncie Central High School, Wabash College, and Indiana University School of Dentistry. I then moved to Branford, Connecticut where I completed my residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine / Hospital of St. Raphael Campus. I next entered private practice from 2001-2007 in San Diego/El Cajon.
Most recently I furthered my training to include Facial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery, completing an accredited fellowship in Columbus, Mississippi through Emory University from 2007-2008, and am licensed by the state of California to perform elective facial cosmetic surgery. I am a diplomate (Board Certified) of both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. I am a fellow in both the American and California Association's of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon's. I am also a member in the American Academy, as well as the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. I have served as a volunteer on the Thousand Smiles Cleft Lip and Palate Team, have been active on the Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Teams at the Children's Hospital in San Diego, have served as volunteer facility to the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Balboa Naval Hospital, and currently participate in Share the Care through the San Diego County Dental Society.
My goal is to provide you with the best possible experience here at our office for your Oral & Maxillofacial / Facial Cosmetic Surgery needs or desires. Facial cosmetic consultations are complementary.
